Sultan Balloons staff will transfer you from your hotel at time that was agreed on a day before. You’ll begin your adventure just about sixty minutes before sunrise at our meeting spot where we’ll check you in and get you warmed up with coffee and tea from our favorite local roaster at our Flight Center or Take Off Site.

A little before sunrise The Pilot check on the weather and change take-off site everyday according to wind speeds and direction so that you ll see the most charming valleys and fairy chimneys. The Balloon can only go where the wind takes it - and this makes each balloon flight an adventure.

You will be able to watch our pilots and crew inflating the balloons and preparing for take-off. When you are comfortably in the basket, your pilot will give a full flight safety briefing, explaining the landing procedures. Weather is normally very calm in this region but we always prepare passengers on safe landing positions.

Cappadocia has one of the most famous and photographed landscapes in the world. Wind and water have eroded the soft volcanic rock of the region into the fantastic valleys, formations and columns of stone known as 'fairy chimneys'. From the air, the view is matchless, revealing itself as your balloon ascends to up to approximately 3000ft. After approximately one hour your pilot will determine a suitable landing site - one with easy access for the crew and your minibus. The pilot will remind you of the landing procedure, and then bring the balloon back down to earth, gently...

When and where does the tour end?
Your tour will conclude in San Francisco on Day 8 of the trip. There are no activities planned for this day so you're free to depart at any time. We highly recommend booking post-accommodation to give yourself time to fully experience the wonders of this iconic city!
When and where does the tour start?
Day 1 of this tour is an arrivals day, which gives you a chance to settle into your hotel and explore Los Angeles. The only planned activity for this day is an evening welcome meeting at 7pm, where you can get to know your guides and fellow travellers. Please be aware that the meeting point is subject to change until your final documents are released.
Do you arrange airport transfers?
Airport transfers are not included in the price of this tour, however you can book for an arrival transfer in advance. In this case a tour operator representative will be at the airport to greet you. To arrange this please contact our customer service team once you have a confirmed booking.
What is the age range
This tour has an age range of 12-70 years old, this means children under the age of 12 will not be eligible to participate in this tour. However, if you are over 70 years please contact us as you may be eligible to join the tour if you fill out G Adventures self-assessment form.
